PS Audio

the DirectStream DAC sits in between the BHK Signature Preamplifier and the PerfectWave Memory Player transport

The PS Audio DirectStream DAC ($5,999) never ends. With each firmware upgrade (I think "upgrade" is appropriate in this case more so than "revision"), designer Ted Smith improves the damn DAC. For free. That makes my two-revision-old review, um, irrelevant (click the link to find out what the DirectStream does). Of course from an owner's perspective this is a beautiful thing. From PS Audio's view, I'd imagine it's kinda like the DAC that keeps on giving.

Pictured PS Audio gear:

PerfectWave Memory Player transport ($3,999)
P10 Power Plant regenerator ($4,999/ea. 3 in use)
BHK Signature Preamplifier, scheduled for release Q2/16 ($TBD)
BHK Signature 300 Mono Amplifiers ($14,998/pair)
The speakers were the YG Acoustics Sonja 1.3 ($106,800/pair).

The sound? My notes read, "The system passed the emotional connection test with flying colors." That is, in my book, the only test that matters. Bravo!

I have owned and have experience with 2 PS Audio products. I had a Power port classic AC outlet and loved it.

The Dectet, yeah... Everyone throws a bad game on occasion.

Still got the Dectet? Anything we can do to help?

FWIW, we've got a zillion of 'em in the field, and Dectets are generally completely trouble-free.

Bill,

Quick question about the Dectet and the Power Port. I have a very simple system. Naim CD, Sonic Frontiers line stage, VAC amplifier. With a recent tube change, the amp buzzes a bit. I was thinking one of your power products might help.

Would it? Which one would you recommend for that setup?

Thank you
Scott
