In Barn: GigaFOILv4 – INLINE Ethernet filter
DJM GigaFOILv4 – INLINE Ethernet filter ($475.00).
The GigaFOILv4 – INLINE is the newest generation of the FOIL™ brand of Ethernet filters. Based on patented Fiber Optic Isolation Link (“FOIL”) technology, the GigaFOILv4 – INLINE utilizes fiber optics and specially designed circuitry to prevent 99.99999999% of electromagnetic interference (ie “Noise”) from passing through the filter. The filter covers a frequency range of below 14kHz to beyond 18GHz and does not require a passband, meaning the only signal passing through the filter is the clean digital Ethernet signal.

DJM Electronics is the developer and manufacture of the FOIL™ brand of electromagnetic interference (“EMI”) filters. Founded in Southern California in 1978, DJM developed the FOIL™ technology in 2005 for industrial and military applications on RF shielded enclosures. The company was approached several times to develop a filter that did not require a shielded enclosure. The GigaFOILv4 – INLINE is the answer to those requests. With an insertion loss of 100dB from 14kHz to 18GHz, the GigaFOILv4 – INLINE is the most effective inline Ethernet filter available.

Compare with Fibre Optic?

I seem to recall that you were using TP-Link Fibre Optic devices to break the ethernet noise chain (as I do and I'm not sure but didn't you also try the PS Audio Network Bridge. If either/or it would be interesting to have your insight with any comparative listening.

has it been released yet?
